The Origin of Fornication

The Origin

God in his majesty when he made man he made man in totality consisting of the body, soul and spirit. He made him that these three components of a total must work hand-in-hand to the glorification of his name. The body he made in contact with the physical world, it is the body that possesses the five sense organs, the soul is what I consider the “mind” or the heart of a man in its literal terms, the soul is the intermediate and the connection between the body which is physical and the spirit which is spiritual. The mind refers to the aspects of intellectual and consciousness manifested as combination of thoughts, perceptions, memory, emotion, will and imagination. The mind is the power house of reasoning and ideas, it is the center. The spirit is the third component that communicates directly to God. These three components must be in good communication with each other for a person to live righteous and they should be guarded and checked constantly. These three components are powerful and can either make a man or destroy a man.

Basically, everything in life has an origin or a source and fornication or sexual immorality is no exception. This great sin originates from the mind, the mind is powerful and it is the center of warfare, it is considered the battle field. Every action whether great or small originates from the mind, that is to say whatever you do or say must have been thought of even if it is for a micro-second, it must pass through the mind. The mind is involved in all actions. Before a person commits any sexual sin the thought of that sin goes through the mind first because it is the pacemaker of actions.

“And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding, do not ye not understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the drought? But whatsoever thing which proceeded out of thy mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man .For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: these are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.”

Matthew 15:16-20(KJV)

Jesus was letting us know the origin of every action, telling us about the power of the mind(heart),He pointed out clearly the origin of sexual immorality which is the mind, the center of thoughts. The body that is in contact with the physical sends impulses from whatever we see, hear, perceive, touch, taste or smell to brain, which I consider a part of the mind, it is in the mind that these stimuli are integrated and the spirit responds to what the mind integrates, and then comes action. The mind been an intermediate or center should be properly guarded because 催眠師 the devil strives to strike the center and when the center is destroyed, things will no longer hold. He strives to perverse the mind and when he succeeds the wrong actions are taken. That is why a Christians we should be very careful of all we hear or see because it is from these that we begin to think and every positive thought when built upon would yield a positive result, likewise every negative thought when build upon results in negative actions. What we read or hear matter a lot as Christians we should not just sit back like the world and say it does not matter because these things actually matter and they really feed the mind. Most people begin fornication by reading pornographic books or watching pornographic movies or by listening to other talk in a vulgar manner and when they stay calm and lonely the images of what they have seen or they words they heard begin to replay in their minds and fornication of any sort sets in.

“Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace will sanctify you wholly: I pray your body whole spirit and soul and body be preserve blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”. 1 Thess 5:22-23(KJV).

“For this is the will of God, even your sanctification that you should abstain from fornication: that every one of you should possess his vessel in sanctification and honour.”

1 Thess 4:3(KJV).

It is God’s will that we stay pure and abstain from fornication and youthful lust. The bible says we should flee as Christians from anything that appear evil, it may not necessarily be evil but once if it appears evil we should stay any try to reason out the situation because it may be too late when the mind capture it and it is evil. The mind is indeed a powerful tool that was why Solomon in all his wisdom realizing this said:

“keep thy heart with all diligence for out it are the issues of life.”

Proverbs 4:23(KJV).

Solomon meant that we guide our hearts not with some diligence but with all diligence, diligence means a constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken; persistent exertion of body or mind, it is a conscious act. The mind is very important in all and you can not separate a man from his thoughts says King Solomon the wise:
